Esther Bible Study Guide: A 10-part Meaningful Study on Faith and Obedience

Book of Esther Bible Study with wooden desk

“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)

The Book of Esther is a testimony to God’s sovereignty and unwavering faithfulness to His people. It is a powerful story of faith, obedience, and courage amid challenging circumstances. Although the book is set in the Persian Empire thousands of years ago, its spiritual insights remain relevant and important in our lives today.

This resource is designed to help you study the Book of Esther and apply its timeless lessons to your personal lives. The study consists of 10 sections (one for each chapter of Esther), which you may complete at your own pace. Each section includes thought-provoking questions that encourage reflection, application, and meaningful conversations.

This Bible study guide is great for personal study, small groups, family discussions, or a combination of these, especially in preparation for Purim. Please feel free to be creative: you can read the chapters and answer the questions together as a group, or study individually and then gather to share what you’ve learned. Be sure to check out the first two pages for useful tips on small group and family discussions!

Our prayer is that this study will be a blessing to you and help you grow in your knowledge of God and trust in Him. May you be encouraged and strengthened as you study His Word. May the lessons you learn equip you to be His vessels and do His work where He has placed you — “for such a time as this.”
