Last Thursday I was on a flight from Frankfurt, Germany, to Hong Kong. I could not write the Jerusalem prayer list. On Shabbat and Sunday I was too busy to write anything. Now, a few days late, I have several burdens that need your prayers and help.

After the last Shabbat and the events in Pittsburgh, PA, my spirit has been burdened with some heavy mixed feelings. On the one hand every Jew and every true disciples of Yeshua must have some anxiety with the raise of anti-semitism around the globe. The fanning of the fires of hate and racism by such organizations like the BDS that fuel their political causes by spreading lies and fake news and are supported by major Christian denominations. Even the religious leadership of most of the religious convictions of our time are not really looking for truth and not interested in finding the truth. Many of the supporters of the DBS are Christian denominations. They are the “corporation” the “company” the “system.” What Is most important for these so called “Christian Denominations” is the gain and the bottom line. This is what is nurtured and political interests of their corporate officers is above all and above the teaching of God’s word and even Yeshua himself is only a fixture hanging on the walls of the church still nailed to the cross. People can gave plenty of condolences to the Jewish Community in Pittsburgh and put flowers on the sidewalks for a few days, but nothing of significance will be done to condemn and ostracize and repudiate those who fan fires of hate and racism and violence against Israel and the Zionists.

The beginning of every act of violence starts in the permissive attitude that “good people,” leaders who exhibit tolerance toward the Racial and Religious prejudice that fans the hate and speaks of radical and violent solutions to this or that group that dares to disagree with them. Today the supporters of the BDS and those who condemn Israel for defending it’s international boarders use mask their anti-Jewish attitudes and racism with what is called “Anti-Zionism.” This idea of “Anti-Zionism” is just another translation of the words, “Anti-Semitism.”

The person who is frustrated and takes a gun and goes out to hunt and kill Jews or another minority or group on the Sabbath day inside the synagogue did not suddenly get up and decided to become a murderer. This person programmed by people who at least watered the vine of hate and violence, those who support the lies and anti-Jewish propaganda of the Hamas and the PLO and the Christian denominations that spoke and continue to speak against Israel. Those who’s rhetorical hate and defamation of Israel with twisted fake facts are not innocent from the action of such a person who takes a gun and kills 11 Jews, young and old, who simply worshiped God in their building and above all did harm to no one. This person was encouraged by the hate and racism that he absorbed for a long season.

The authorities may not be able to prevent such an individual who one day wakes up and says to himself, “I am a failure, my life is a failure, I have no future, the Jews or the Arabs or the Blacks, or the Democrats, are to blame for my failure and for my unhappy life. The question that I ask myself is how can people like this be found and helped before they go shooting innocent people! They are a product of their culture and the religious and political organizations that spread the hate and racism by lies and twisted facts taken out of context.

Imagine a government or a society or a religion that rewards and encourages terror. Go kill Jews. After killing a Jews or wounding a few the terrorist is praised and encouraged by the Palestinian authority and the Hamas. The Palestinian authority pays salaries to the terrorist’s families receive money, a pension, for life. The world does not only not condemn those who encourage such action and than rewards the terrorist families with a salary greater than they could earn from working. The funds that they receive to feed the oldest refugees in history go to pay the terrorists for killing Jews.

I am asking you my brothers and sisters to join in prayer and fight the battle against anti-semitism and racism and against the BDS and other organizations that fan the fire the flames of hate and violence against Jews and Israelis, but also against those who fan and spread hate against any group of people.

If there is some Jew that would do the same and spread racial hate and violence against Arab/Palestinians, I would condemn the Jew and repudiate him in the same way, publicly.

The only way to win this battle against hate is with restraint, and mercy, and charity, and the kind of love that will blunt the hate and anti-semitism. This will happen when there will be Zero tolerance against those who spread this hate, zero tolerance by Christians and Jews and civilized men and women around the world. This is a prayer that I pray and ask you to join me in this prayer, although I realize that unless the LORD makes a major miracle the situation might not change. What was will be! This phrase is not English it is Hebrew (מה שהיה יהיה). But, don’t give up!

The balagan in Gaza continues daily. The rockets are flying again and the Israelis who live around Gaza are again the target of everything from rockets, mortar fire, fire balloons, attempted infiltration of terrorists. . . Israel needs your prayers.

I was happy to see a very nice and sensitive condemnation of what happened in Pittsburgh by some Palestinian Christian leaders who wrote some lines that encouraged me:

This is what was written by an Arab/Palestinian Christian leader in the condemnation:

“Murdering Jews is pure evil that is rooted in hatred. This hatred was clearly embodied in the recent attack against the tree of life synagogue in Pittsburgh. The attack is a crime against God, against all people of faith, and against religious freedom. It is an embodiment of oppression and violence. Sadly, 11 Jewish people were brutally murdered in Pittsburgh. I as a Christian Palestinian not only condemn this crime but also pray and hope that all Jews all over the world would be able to live in security and dignity. May God comfort all those who are hurt. For all of my Jewish friends, please accept our condolences. We cry with you for your loss. It is also our loss as well. In these difficult circumstances, let us pray for:

  1. The families and relatives of all those who were murdered at Pittsburgh.
  2. The quick recovery of all the ones who were injured.
  3. The end of violence against all houses of worship including synagogues.
  4. The increase of the love of neighbor instead of hatred.
  5. The end of stereotyping, marginalizing, or demonizing Jews or any other group.
  6. The spread of a healthy and godly grief over the loss of life, loss of peace, loss of security for Jews in Pittsburgh.
  7. The growth of a godly anger against all forms of terrorism and the dominance of a godly love in our hearts for the pursuit of justice and mercy.
  8. The enemies, the terrorists, the evil doers that they will discover the love and mercy of God through our love and holy tears. This includes Robert Bowers who attacked the synagogue.
  9. The needed wisdom for taking active and effective steps against the spread of Antisemitism.
  10. Fighting evil with good, not with fear, exclusion, or building higher walls around our communities.
  11. The empowerment of the Jewish communities and the increase of their determination to be agents of justice, mercy, and righteousness in all of their communities.
  12. The failure of all attempts to employ the Pittsburgh events to promote hatred or to abuse the pain of the oppressed in order to spread specific political agendas.

We condemn this evil crime and lift our prayers for peace in our hearts, in our streets, in our dreams, and in all the streets of Pittsburgh. May God have mercy!”

I find this bold step and clear message written by an Arab/Palestinian leader a flash of light in the dark tunnel of Middle East affairs and the relationships between the Jewish Israeli disciples of Yeshua in this land and the Arab/Palestinian disciples of Yeshua in this land. I pray that this move will bring the reconciliation efforts that were started in the 1970’s by several of us back to life and demonstrate the strength and power of the Body of the Messiah in the Middle East. A body that has the guidance of the Holy Spirit and is able to withstand the forces of terrorism and a nationalism that is fired by hate and anti-Jewish attitudes and some also anti-Arab and Palestinian attitudes. In both cases only sanity and reasonable compassion for each other with sincere and honest relationship as the Body of the Messiah can ride the stormy seas into the safe port of peaceful coexistence.

Keep praying for Netivyah in Israel and in the USA. The leadership of Netivyah needs your prayers and your support. We are still praying and seeking the Lord for a replacement vehicle for Netivyah in Israel. This has to be a van that can carry 9 people, it has to be a van that can be used for transporting goods for the Hamotzi food program, and it has to be a van that can serve the Munchkins – the Netivyah youth group.

Please pray for the international conference in Portugal in Castelo de Vide from May 17-19 and followed by a four-day prayer tour in the places where Jews were tortured and burned by the Inquisition between 1497 – 1821. This will be a significant conference for the awakening of both Jews and Christians and hopefully the state of Israel for the need to open the doors of Israel and absorb several million Jewish victims of the Inquisition back home in Israel. This ought to be the next major wave of Aliyah to Israel and the resettling of the Negev Desert according to the prophecy of Obadiah the prophet.

Please pray for Netivyah and pray for this 40th Anniversary Tour to be a success and an opportunity for us all here in Jerusalem to show our joy and gratitude for your prayers and support.

The principle of the New Testament: “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.” (James 4:17 NKJV) On the above teaching – let us do good because we know to do it and because it is the right and good thing to do – pray for our brothers and sisters who need God’s hand of mercy to touch them, their bodies, and our own illnesses will also be touched by His Mercy.

Margareta, keep her in your prayers she is a dear woman who is going through some real hardship and anguish for her faith. Please keep praying for dear Ruby. Ruby is going through some real big hardships and needs so much support and mercy from God and from brothers and sisters in Oklahoma City. Some of the churches in Oklahoma City are missions an opportunity to do good for a dear sister that is alone in this world now and sick and going through Chemotherapy. I know what God would say to churches that know to do good and don’t do it: God would say what He said through His angle to the church of Sardis: “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, “These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: ‘I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” God will snuff the candle of this kind of church. He has done it before and will do it again! Go visit Sardis now and see what is left of the city and of the church that was there 2000 years ago!

It is hard enough to live in this world and work and business-related issues make it harder and as much as we pray for the spiritual issues and health issues.

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem and believe in God’s promises!
